Are you looking for a challenge this year?

The Hull City Official Supporters Club has teamed up with the Tigers Sports and Educational Trust to find up at least 50 OSC members or Tigers fans to take part in the Hull 10Km Run on May 19th 2013 at 9am.

We are looking for runners and walkers to raise money for the Daisy Appeal and the Andy Dawson Testimonial year.

So if you want to get fit and help us raise some money, please read on.

Andy Dawson is one of a handful of Footballers to have played in all 4 divisions of the Football league. Andy is the only player to have completed 10 Years and all 4 Divisions with one Club…Hull

Andy’s testimonial year is in partnership with The Daisy Appeal which is a local charity established to help improve treatment and research opportunities in a variety of common diseases, most notably cancer and heart disease.

Fancy a unique picture of tigers Legend Andy Dawson?

This Andy Dawson Caricature was commissioned by the Hull City Official Supporters Club (HCOSC) to commemorate Andy’s ten years with Hull City AFC (The Tigers) and produced to coincide with Andy’s Testimonial Year.

The Caricature was created by Local Artist Bryda Atkinson from Elloughton. Only 100 have been produced so they are a limited edition. Each one has been individually signed by Andy and Bryda. Shown on the caricature are the 10 shirts Andy has worn during his ten years with the club, the cross bar challenge, Andy’s favourite tipple, supporting the Daisy Appeal etc.

Message to members regarding improved HCOSC benifits

The Hull City Official Supporters Club is pleased to inform current members, old members and prospective members that on top of the club playing in the Premier League next season talks were recently opened with the Managing Director and his team on a new deal for the OSC members.

Items discussed included a return of benefits, such as discounts on merchandise and travel. Exclusive shopping opportunities at Tiger Leisure. The holding of Forums with key personnel at the Club. An improved involvement for junior members. Priority ticketing for members who are not Season Card holders. A guarantee that player visits to branches will continue in 2013/14 and that the Player of the Year event will be held.

Regular meetings will take place between the two parties and we will keep you informed of developments. Along with the introduction of the Fans Liaison Advisory Group the communication between fans and the Football Club is now improving

Message to the fans

The Hull City Official Supporters Club asks all fans attending Saturday’s game to get behind the team and create a special atmosphere that will spur the team on to promotion and glory. We need everyone in the Stadium to sing and cheer from start to finish. We are the 12th member of the team and we need to play our part. The prize is unbelievable and will not only bring Premier League football to Hull it will give the whole area a lift both commercially and socially.

One of our fellow fan groups has asked everyone to party and that is what we want to do but no “red cards” please to spoil the day. Lets keep within the advice given by the club and police and show the Nation how to support a football team.

Can we also offer our best wishes to North Ferriby United in their quest to gain promotion to the 6th tier of English football.

Enjoy what promises to be a great day for East Yorkshire.

Player Of the Year Awards 2012-2013 Review

On Monday 29th April the Hull City Official Supporters Club (HCOSC) hosted its annual player of the year awards in the Kingston suite at the KC Stadium.

After all the fans had packed into the venue HCOSC chairman Tony Conway gave a speech about how the past season has gone for the HCOSC and how the HCOSC plans to move forward during the off season to become bigger and better for the 2013-2014 season. After Tony finished his speech he was presented with a trophy to thank him for his service to the HCOSC as he will be stepping down as chairman after 6 years when the current season ends. He also received a beach hut photo frame from HCOSC Press officer Bernard Noble.

Tigers Manager Steve Bruce then came to the stage to thank the fans for showing their support and stated that the promotion race is still in our hands and we need to get the job done on Saturday. Steve also mentioned the great effort the players have put in this season to get us into the position we are in.

Tiger’s legend Ian Ashbee was then brought to the stage by mc for the night Steve Jordan to present the awards. The first award was the Tiger Travel away player of the season which went to Paul McShane. Paul thanked the fans for voting him as the winner and said that the players appreciate the support they receive home and away he also thanked the clubs medical staff for getting him back onto the pitch after he was initially ruled out for the season just a few weeks ago.

Next up was the fiercely contested goal of the season award. In a season where we have seen some amazing goals George Boyd’s effort in the away game against Huddersfield was voted the best.

Next was the HCOSC Player of the Year awards which Ash read out in reverse order with Robbie Brady taking 3rd place, Paul McShane coming 2nd and Ahmed Elmohammady taking 1st place. Ahmed thanked the fans and stated that he was happy to come to Hull and play for Steve Bruce and that he was happy with the way the whole squad has played throughout the season as well as his own performances the whole team have worked hard and they just have to win one more game.

HCOSC chairman Tony Conway returned to the stage to present the final award of the main ceremony which was a special achievement award to Andy Dawson to commemorate his 10 years service to the football club.

Andy said it was an honour to spend so much of his career at the club and that he has some amazing memories from the past 10 years. Andy thanked the fans for supporting them and hopes that the club can return to the Premier League.

After the main ceremony was over the HCOSC Branches presented their awards to the winners with Paul McShane claiming the Beverley and Withernsea branch awards. James Chester took home the South west branch award and Ahmed Elmohammady won the Josh Fell memorial Hornsea Branch award.

After the awards where presented the Players stayed to sign autographs and pose for photos with the fans in attendance.

The HCOSC would like to thank everybody who helped organise the event from the football club, the players and management, the staff and security in the Kingston suite and all the fans for turning out. We hope everybody enjoyed the evening.

Matt Duke To Hornsea

The Hornsea Branch of The Hull City Official Supporters Club are pleased to announce EX- TIGER MATT DUKE as our next guest, on Monday 22nd April @The Victoria,Hornsea 7pm for 7.30 prompt start.

Matt spent vast periods on the sidelines as understudy to Boaz Myhill,but when called upon never let you down,establishing himself in a run of games in The Premier League,Matt will no doubt talk about his rise from non league to the Premiership,with a personal battle with cancer along the way.Matt has had a season of two halves at Bradford City,one week he is a cup hero then at Wembley got red carded and now dropped from the starting line up. The evening will be expertly marshalled by guest presenter Brendon Smurthwaite.

Hull City Official Supporters Club in conjunction with Hull City Football Club would like to announce that the Annual OSC Player of the Season Awards evening will take place on Monday 29th April 2013 in the Kingston Suite at the KC Stadium. The doors will open at 6.45 p.m. with a 7.30 p.m. start. The event will finish at 9.30 prompt.

The Hull City squad will be attending the event & there will be the opportunity to meet the players following the presentation ceremony. Host for the night will be match day presenter Steve Jordan & we hope to see the appearance of Roary the Tiger during the evening. It is also hoped that a local celebrity will present the awards.

Voting forms for your Player of the Season & Goal of the Season are available from the Sports Bar or on the OSC website.

Please note this is an OSC members event only & there will be no admittance on the night to non-members. You will need a valid up to date OSC membership card to gain entry to the event. The event is anticipated to be a full house & numbers are limited to 450 so early arrival is recommended. Once this number is reached no one else will be admitted.

There are plenty of opportunities to join the Official Supporters Club on matchdays in the Sports Bar or online at www.hullcityosc.com. A 1 year adult membership costs £8 & Junior membership (under 16) costs £6 for the year.
