Brady and Dudgeon Excite Cottingham Crowd

Robbie Brady and Joe Dudgeon were the guests at a packed out back room at the King Billy in Cottingham on Monday night.

After a brief introduction by Cottingham Chairman Ian Garmston the youngsters fielded a number of questions from the mass of fans. One of the main focuses of the crowds line of questioning  surrounded the player’s lifestyle outside of football to which both responded by saying outside of training and matchdays they live a normal lifestyle watching DVD’s and going shopping. At one point Robbie was asked via twitter if his goal earlier in the season was a cross or shot being honest as he was all evening he admitted it was a cross that got lucky unfortunately neither Joe or himself could remember if he got his goal bonus for the effort!

As young players a few traditional questions came up such as who are the model pros at Manchester United and Hull City with names such as senior pro’s Andy Dawson, Richard Garcia, Paul Scholes and Ryan Giggs all spoken of highly by the lads. Probably to most positive moment of the night was when Robbie was asked about the squad unity and ambition he stated ‘the team doesn’t want to settle for anything less than promotion’.

After the questions were over the lads took time to pose for photographs and sign autographs with the many fans in attendance. In reflection the night was a huge success with the popularity of the player guaranteeing a packed out venue and a good night for everybody who attended.
